We’re ready for a break, so luckily Christmas is just around the corner. The carols have started, (whether you like it or not), and this will be the last time we remind you to reconcile your Xero in 2017. What do you say we finish with a bang and you have Xero up to date by Monday the 4th of December? That way we’ll make sure you have all your taxes finished up before you knock off for the year. If that deadline is too much of a squeeze, check out our “Reconcile for me” button on this email.
Christmas is quickly approaching and we thought we’d let you know the days we’ll be tuning out and giving the business brain a rest:
– Shutting up shop Friday the 22nd of December
– First day back Wednesday the 10th of January
Over the break Tom and Cam will be reachable for anything urgent. We hope you’re taking some time out to recharge the batteries and gear up for a big 2018, we’ve got some exciting things in store!
A bit different this time round. Receipt Bank is a Xero add-on service we’ve recently rolled out to a few of you and we’ve had some great feedback.
Receipt bank exists to make your life, and our life, a whole lot easier. It’s a whizz-bang bit of software that ‘reads’ your receipts and bills and learns where to code them. Your input is limited to taking a photo, or sending an email, then checking things are correct later on. No data entry, no need to keep paper, no getting chased by us!
It’s a $30 monthly subscription worth it’s weight in gold. Get in touch and we’ll set you up.
If you look to the tax calendar in this email, you’ll likely identify with a few of the upcoming tax payments. Early in the calendar year can be the hardest time for tax payments and this is only exacerbated if you’re a year or so into the start-up phase.
From 15 January through to 7 May tax payments come in thick and fast. Depending on your business, this can be a real crunch time. We’ve got some wicked software for cashflow forecasting to help you plan out the road ahead. Tee up a time after the Christmas break to sit down with one of us and make sure there’s no surprises.
Catch up soon,
Your Outside team, and Ruby
