Friday, Flip Yeah.

The weeks have been drifting past quicker than a fart in the Wellington gales, and here we are at the mid-point of the financial year – she’s all downhill from here; but hopefully not for your bank accounts. Have you been measuring your business performance? Before we know it, Christmas will be into full swing and many of your businesses will be going bananas, so its vital to measure how your doing. Let us know if we can help with anything to front-foot the chaos season with you?

Heads up, we’re putting the heat on you this month. At some point before Wednesday the 5th of October, you need to be looking at this on your Xero:
Too easy right? Hope so 🙂

Xero Tip – Business Performance

Did you know, we can jazz up your Xero dashboard to give you a great instant view of your business vitals? We can add a Business Performance dashboard to quickly show you where your business is sitting; whether that be gross profit %, debtor days, or measuring the return on your investment. Observing your business performance is a vital tool in order to measure growth and set new goals. We can also turn the accounting jargon into more meaningful insights for you, so don’t be scared! Have a look at this Xero page and flick us a call if you want us to walk you through it, or come visit us at the office!

Is it worth opening the stats?

Stat holidays are an employer’s nightmare with employment law often seemingly sitting nicely in the grey area; especially for the non-Monday-to-Friday employers. While payroll providers like Smart Payroll or FlexiTime are great for free Q&A around how the law applies to your situation; they’re not going to tell you if it’s worth firing the business up on the stats. That’s a numbers game, and that’s our ball park.

With the right data, (and thanks to the lovely girls out the back at Outside), we can forecast if it’s worth working, or pulling pin and going fishing – no more surprises on the wages in early January. Give us a holla if you’re keen to know where you stand.

Enjoy your Friday!
Your Outside team, and Ruby
